The VW polo is a small car manufactured by Volkswagen which is especially popular in Europe. It is most widely seen in hatchback form although there have been other formats including saloon, estate, etc.



About half a million Mark 1 Polos were sold during its 5 year lifespan with more than nine million Polos across all models subsequently sold. Each generation was revamped mid way through its production era. The Polo has always been an ultra reliable, practical fun car but the latest models are typical of todays competitive market in terms of the quality and value for money they offer.

    Got this Volkswagen Polo 1.4 16V as my first car, having been a named driver on other cars for a few weeks.     rubbish. I took my Polo back to Volkswagen last week complaing of a rough engine and poor mpg. the rough engine is normal, it turns out, as it's 3 cylinder, but I've just worked-out the mpg: 36 to the gallon!
