Me and my partner have wanted a dog for quite some time. My partner applied, they phoned us a week later to get some further information. One thing is clear from what they told us, you cannot have a dog if you work full time as a dog cannot be left on it's own for too long, something we know not to be true as we both had dogs as children and they were left on their own for the best part of a day. None the less, we explained that we were willing to get a dog walker, whatever was needed, we were flexible. They arranged a home visit for this morning. My partner was there to show them around. Now they are saying that part of the fence in our garden is not hgh enough! This is also on my neighbours side so there is very little we can do. I can't help but think these dogs homes, RSPCA included as we have also tried with them, have far too high expectations for rehoming dogs. It makes me sad to see the adverts on the tv asking for help, what else can we do. We have no choice but to get a puppy from one pf the ads you see in the newspaper
