Item: Vauxhall Meriva MPV 1.6 16v Club
Bought as a second car. We wanted something that was easy to put our 2 year old into and that had good versatility. It has been even better than we had hoped on that front. Reliability has been first class with not so much as a rattle or squeak.
It's not exactly a driver car but it is comfortable on long runs with a good if firm ride and decent handling given the height of the car.
Most people writing reviews on this site seem to complain about Vauxhall relaibility but I have had ...

My wife loves the car and its size is ideal for small super practical transport. Our 1.6 could do with a 6th gear as the motorway legal limit means high engine rpm and noise. Overall though it has to be "thumbs up", its just as shame that what could be a great car is let down by the visibility ...

This car is very economical returning between 46 and50 miles per gallon. The performance is quite adequate for motorway driving and will cruise happily at 80ish. I went for the Vauxhall Meriva Enjoy 1.6 16v because of it's raised driving position made it easy for the wife to get in and out and because of the flexible rear seating gave fantastic load carrying ability for such a small car.
However I had a new clutch fitted after 5000 miles, and when I sold it at 15000 miles it needed another clutch.
Also I found the double A pillars caused severe blind spots which made it more and more nerve racking at roundabouts and level ...
