Lovely to drive, quality interior, very comfortable. BUT so unreliable. I have a 2010 t5, it has covered 75k. Parts replaced since new - driveshaft (3 times), exhaust gas valve, abs sensor, water pump. Clearly this is a huge disappointment. I am not alone. My company lease many transporters, all have had similar unreliability. I am now looking longingly at cheaper and more reliable Hyundai iload.

Hi. I had 2 T5's in 2 years and replaced 4 clutches. I finally rid myself of VW in Dec and purchased a Hyundai H1 (South Africa).....far superior to the VW. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT....After VW treating me like an idiot and the high prices to repair these German vehicles, I am telling as many people as I possible can about one of the most underrated vehicles around. You will not be sorry. Petrols is under powered but the diesel is AMAZING.
