After reading the reviews on Amazon I bought the Gator hand held for the stairs as I thought it would be lighter and easier to use. It was very light, but when it came to picking up dirt and lint form the stairs, I had to go over the same parts several times making it a lengthy process, resulting in the battery running out after about six stairs. There is not enough power in it for this purpose. I found it was only suitable for spills in my cupboard such as sugar etc.

I am now back to my old cylider for the stairs, a bit heavy but much more efficient. Left with quite an expensive cupboard cleaner.
