Got this thing on amazon( we got "james"), it is nothing more than a shop vac with a bag, really. If you want to clean your house with a shop vac, got to the hardware store and get one cheaper than this. Its load and doesnt pick up much. The worst part is the main tube pieces of the vacuum only connect by friction, no clips or conenctors. This leaves the pieces coming apart as you operate the vacuum. Also the suction control is nothing more than a slide clip at the hose end of the vacuum. Poor design for $200 plus dollars.

I have to agree. I've had my Henry for three years now and after fighting with the connectors coming apart EVERY TIME, I talked with a representative by phone who promised to send me a set of new attachments suggesting that my particular ones were faulty. The promised replacement never arrived and I never followed back up. Instead, I went out and bought a Miele and after two years I'm still happy with the Miele. It is an upright vacuum with on board attachments.. it is easy to push and the attachments connect easily with a locking mechanism. It has great suck-up.
So yeah, I have to agree with you. The Henry is junk.

I guess it is a bit basic in its design. but if it does the job, who cares
