When we moved into our new flat we couldn't afford an expensive vacuum cleaner so plumped for a cheapy from Asda. The thought was that we only had a couple of small rooms with carpet and the rest was laminate so it should do the job. How wrong we were. It was bloody awful, our lounge rug was never clean unless we got down on our hands and knees with the hose (very tedious).
So in the end we got a Henry. The price wasn't too bad, only £60 more than the cheap one that eventually died on us.
It came with a kit of extra brushes plus three bags not including the one inside Henry already. Instead of taking over 2 hours to hoover our whole flat it only took me 30 minutes! Hooray! And my rug was clean at last. It even managed to pick up all my long hairs which tend to stick to the carpets.
I started on low mode which was so much quieter than I expected then moved to high for the carpets purely because they had not been cleaned properly by the last vacuum.
I now look forward to only having to give the flat a quick clean every week instead of fighting over who has the job of vacuuming.
