I was delighted with my Miele to start with. I found it much better than any vacuum I'd had before - Dyson, panasonic. It's light, easy to use and move around and actually picked up ALL the time. That was until it started doing the 'popping up' trick as mentioned by other reviewers. The black filter kept popping up and the noise was horrific plus all the suction was lost. I persisted by spending a lot of money replacing all filters but it just kept doing it. The only way was to push it down with your foot and vacuum at the same time - no easy feat! Finally, my aggressive tactics backfire and the burning rubber smell and strange noises resulted in a broken motor. I'm very disappointed and am off this weekend to buy a replacement. Sebo or Henry - any views?
