I am a carer and took a disabled lady and her 2 children on a monday to friday break which she enjoyed so did her children yes we did have to walk along the road with the wheelchair drivers where very considerate so where the ground workers also the assistant manager and staff at the venue where excellent on a couple of occasions they went above and beyond to help us so much so I have been asked to bring the family back next year so thank you for a lovely holiday

Years ago i used to go here every weekend and take my daughter,it was a lovely place.We used to play on the kentucky derby,walk around the amusement arcades and i used to like a game of bingo.We would then get ourselves a burger and go and sit by the lake it was lovely.There was so much going on and now there is nothing there.The place is empty they have all gone now and its really gone down hill.All they need to do is spend a bit of money and people will start to visit more.We live in northampton and them days many people would go for the day and there was so much to do now there is nothing its deralict.I went there last week to visit a friend and went to the shop on site it was empty.A complete shame as the actual park is beautiful.

love this place me an my partner and kids have a caravan on here never had a problem with any think toilets and showers are clean.how people can say it's dirty you want a dirty place go to grendon lakes.

Camped here on 7-10 August 2013. Toilets dirty and mostly no hand soap. Showers to far away and only shoer curtain lack of privacy. No lighting at night. No extinguisher or sand buckets incase of fire. Whilst there a young child fell in river. Whilst on phone to paramedics was unable to give an accurate location as no camp peg markers or numbers you just pitch anywhere. A very poor site and think unsafe for children especially as csmping near water. All our family were left traumatised after what happened with little child. Would never go back or recommend

If you want to go to Billing beware half the toilets are not open they are disgusting inside and are often vandalised when you complain it goes on deaf ears. it is waterlogged again as usual with only a little rain

I have never been there I was thinking of buying one there but not sure now. Which month do you have to leave

If you want to put a boat or a caravan on this site, Beware. They now charge you 50 pence per day for their new electric meter. So if you do not live on the site. This will come to £182.50 per year. This will make your electricity the most expensive in the world. Stay clear of this rubbish site.

I advise no-one to go anywhere near the place it is a tip they will try and sell you a van and then when you give it they do not tell you it floods !

Idiot in blue ford focus boy racer car backfiring and dump valve sharing, seems to think its ok to race round the park at 40 mph with his stupid chav car

Terrible. Roads are dirt tracks full of pot holes, fields are constantly waterlogged, shower blocks and toilet blocks are from the fifties and are dirty, cold and lacking in hair dryers, changing facilities etc. often only a few cubicles are open overall. Shops are closed up, fairground disgusting, swimming pool small and cold plus over priced, the only entertainment they seem to put on are car shows so during the evenings we have to put up with boy racers showing off their cars revving up their engines. Nothing to do in the evenings except drink in the pub. Restaurant is dead, fish and chip shop called vinnies is ok. Just boring, dirty and unkempt. Staff don't give two hoots about you, and when the site was flooded last weekend they refused to help. Even the family who live in their tent all year round were denied any help. Although they had paid their pitch hire in advance, they were told they would have to pay £430.00 for one week in a static van to dry their things out. Staff are unfriendly and arrogant. Another caravan owner was told that if he was unhappy he could always move to another site, and his van was getting ruined in the floods, and no they would not give him any money back. What that site needs is a huge investment, bring in tons of gravel and make the pitches hard standing, put up better signage, tidy up all the roads, build modern heated shower and toilet blocks, man the launderette, bring back traders into the boarded up shops, increase the train line around the site with various drop off points, manage the fair better or get rid of it, put on some varied events, none of this is rocket science but then I think the company who now own billing have given up, it's all take take take. Even the residents in the static vans and log cabins are fed up with the management. Last month over ten static vans moved out. How much longer are billing going to be allowed to get away with it. Disgusting.

We camped there last weekend and were very disappointed. The facilities were poor and disgusting most of the time; there were only 4 toilet blocks, 2 shower blocks and 2 sinks outside each toilet block for washing up, definitely not enough for the large amount of visitors which meant queues. Added to that the loud music from the fair at the other end of the large site appeared to start 10ish and continued until midnight at least and we also had very noisy neighbours who played loud music into the early hours of the morning - there was supposed to be bailiffs patrolling the site to stop this behaviour! We left after two nights and won't go back. The saving factor of the weekend was the balloon festival was great. Since returning home and going on to reviews of this site two other campers have had similar experiences as us, I just wish they had been there to see before we booked then we would have gone elsewhere as camping used to be a relaxing experience!!

Stayed for one week in a rented mobile home that was well equipped included linen, TV, fridge freezer and of course heating! Enjoyed the new pool complex and the local footpaths. Day trip to Cambridge was easy and parking and shopping in northampton was simple. Locally, we liked spending a few spare moments in Billing Garden center which also has a butcher and farm shop. Do not believe all the reviews you find on line.

mmm.. I did think twice about going, but, being aware of the comments meant I was prepared for hell.. Arrived, it was easy to check in (the site could be better signposted) but we are arrived at a very nice Static van, TV reception could have been better, but we weren't there to watch TV, the Van was clean and well maintained, the walks around the grounds were pleasant, and the only concern was noise coming from some American tourists clearly on the source, security asked them to pipe down, they did. on site facilities were good, although I think more selection needed in the canteen.

Ok, it's not the Waitrose of supermarkets, but then again, it's not the LIDL either.

Having arrived for the weekend, on first impressions the site seemed quite nice. Oh how wrong could I have been. There was music all day and all night and when I informed Security they said they would sort it. 12 that night it was still going on. The toilets were missing seats and there were holes in the sinks and these hadn't been cleaned. The showers are cleaned by a male attendent (supposedly) and only had curtains! There were motorbikes running non stop, the whole site was extremely run down and it seems that no maintainance has taken place for sometime. Having said all this when I complained after one night, I was offered another spot or a complete refund. I took a complete refund! This did however, ruin the whole weekend. Would not recommend this site unless the current owners do something about it very soon

Having read conflicting reports, I was wary of going. Wish I hadn't bothered. Although saying that staff were very friendly and helpful. Directions on site bit misleading. Caravan ok but carpet grubby. I went Monday to Friday so site was quiet but very noisy at weekends I was told. The new leisure is a rip off. Paid £43 for 4 adults and 1 child for four days just to swim. Then it closed between 1 and 2 every day. All other activities expensive too. Security van did drive round regularly. Scruffy and dated site. Very overpriced. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

Family purchased a holiday home on the site for £20,000 18 months later to part exchange was offered £3500, SO BE VERY CAREFUL, went ahead when we were offered more, then found out 9 months later because my name had been added, we were now classed as new customers, and ground rent went up by £1000 not the normal 3% ours went up 44%, they did not tell us that when they were taking another £20,000 off us, would leave tomorrow if could find a site to take the caravan, if you want to pay over the odds ground rent, the be mislead, then this is the place to be.

we visited billing last year and were very dissapointed with the general unkempt condition of the site, although the site has great potential it is in a very poor state, the new complex was just starting and we was told that the whole site would be undergoing a complete revamp, so when a few friends decided to go camping we decided to give billing another try, oh what a big mistake, the site is filthy, and the shower blocks in a terrible condition, as far as i could see nothing has changed since last year, the only difference was is that i couldn't bear to use them so done without showering for 3 days. all through the day you are very aware of the vans cars and lorries touring round the site and as far as we could tell they were driving nowhere in particular, we felt as if were being watched all the time, in the end we manouverd our cars round so we felt safer. The new complex was dissapointing it cost us £5.00 per person and there was 19 of us in our group, i thought great i can at least have a decent shower only to find out that the only showers are in view of everyone in the pool!!!! and after trying to shower with children running in and out and fathers waiting for there children i gave up, only then to find out that there is no hair dryers, this is a brand new complex even in our small local pool who charges half the price provide these, not even a socket so that i could use my own!!! on our last night there was a big row between two travelling families, no security was around and it took another brave camper to tell them to shut up and consider the other camp site users. i would not recommend this site for anyone other than to let other travelling families that they can go there in abundance.
