Their music gets better throughout all of their albums and this one is the best! Their songs are powerful and have deep, emotional lyrics! LOVED IT!!

Item: U2, The Joshua Tree
This is probably my second favourite U2 album, although it does contain my all time best song. I think this album and possibly Rattle And Hum marked the end of one era for U2, but each song on the album has a depth and a quality we've come to expect from the boys from Dublin. Item: U2, Pop
Back in the day when U2 to me was completely unknown, I heard some stuff of their 'All that you can't leave behind' album and with my birthday coming up asked some friends to get me that. They must have been U2 rookies too and instead got me 'Pop', thinking that was U2's latest release. After being slightly disappointed I gave the album a good listening and must admit not being too impressed at first.

"Atomic Bomb" opens with a roaring, thrilling ride to the sounds of "Vertigo." To listen to this, you cannot fail to believe that you are in for a treat. And the album continues, with thought-provoking, yet fun sounds that surely cannot disappoint.
Apparently named for Bono's father (who is the "Atomic Bomb" of the album title), this album contains some beautiful lyrics, and these are most evident in "City Of Blinding Light."

The third album by Dublin's second biggest export, "War" is the start of their emotional compositions that define U2. Following on from the not so successful album "October," this album is a flawless and amazing sample of an amazing group.
