I'm currently in New York, with my trusty card! Or so I thought:) we were slightly embarrassed last night whilst trying to pay for a meal. Card was rejected, tried twice. Gave up and used my credi card, this defeats the while idea!! Have been reading other reviews and found that for security there is a daily limit spend. Great, not! Totally ridiculous. I'll b withdrawing the balance and using the cash. My advice, don't bother!

Yes we experienced the same in New York we where left totally embarrassed when we tried to withdraw $400 from an ATM to pay for a carrage ride around central park the quide was very good and drove us back to our hotel so I could get my bank card which is a good job I took it with me we had to of course pay the guy more for the extra time, I would never ever get this card from the Post office the customer service was awful when I asked why I was not allowed to withdraw the cash limit of $500 'which is the main selling point when purchasing the card' I was told we had pending transactions from 3 days ago, this is not great when you rely on having access to your money daily, yes also was not told we would be charged $3.50 for each ATM transaction, weird though it was I could not withdraw $300 one day it did allow me to take 3x$100 out the same machine so therefore we paid the fee 3 times, we had to try it as we had run out of cash, all in all it was a total nightmare and would not recommend this card to anyone, we where left totally embarrassed in restaurants bars and shops AVIOD AT ALL COST!!! oh and by the way you will have to wait 15 days to get any of your unspent money back and the buy back rate is outrageously low, I really am so disappionted and let down by the Post Office no one in customer service wanted to listen to my complaint just talked over me, really rude!!!!
