I thought this was a good way to manage money while away from the UK. I still think it's a good idea in principle, but would recommend you look at one of the many others on offer from travel agents rather than the post office.

I have been trying to top up for 2 and a half days. Every time I get a msg saying to contact my bank, yet this is often before the verification data has even been requested. My bank says they have not received any transfer requests from the post office and have not blocked any payments.

There is noone available to answer emails for help as they're all off on bank holiday. Meanwhile I have run out of cash and am stranded......

DON'T DO IT!!! There are other similar cards on the market. I only gave it one star because I can't give it none.

I managed to speak to the post office, they confirm the website has been down for two days but can offer no info as to when it'll be back up and running. They even asked for my bank card number. I didn't bring my bank card with me. The whole point of bringing a post office card was to leave my bank card somewhere safe.

I repeat DON'T DO IT!!!!!
