We took this card on our 3 week holiday to France, the Travel Money Card was refused in a number of places - supermarkets, shops, toll boothes etc. luckily we had another credit card to use- thank goodness as with three young children we could have been in a bit of bother!! We came home with alot of money on the card due to it's unreliability. I then phoned the Post Office hoping to be able to get the rest of the money out in order to pay off the credit card and to log my complaint. I was told I couldn't speak to anyone I had to write a letter, which I did. About 4 weeks later I phoned again, there was no record of the letter, but they would look into it. 3 weeks later I recieved a letter saying that their records only show 1 refused transaction and that was due to the retailers machine timing out. Therefore this was their 'final response'. I was so cross about this, no one had contacted me to ask in more detail what the problem was. There were far more than 1 refused transaction and more to the point the card was then unreliable and we did not feel happy using it. I am now in the process of getting my money out - with fees attached which i feel I should not be paying. I will be cutting up this card and looking for a more reliable card next year.
