I got the Post Office travel card - and then I read the reviews on this website - so was prepared for the worst and thought I wouldn't be able to use it. However, after an initial issue registering my payment card online (both my credit card - and then my debit card issuer blocked my registering of the payment card online thinking it was a possible fraudalent transaction) but once this was resolved pretty easy to use. It was accepted at every location both at ATM and merchant, I was easily able to load the card with money from my payment card, the rate of exchange from GBP to Euro was very competitive, and I could check the balance by SMS instantly to keep a check on funds. I was very impressed, it meant both my husband and I could use just the one card .... keeping bank cards separate and only for emergencies. It was easy to use, customer services were helpful(called them to resolve the issue I had loading the card) and really don't know why this travel card got such poor reviews on this site. I will certainly use it again - and now it is registered I have it for future trips abroad. Perhaps because I was using this in France ... and a Euro card at that could be the reason. Perhaps other Countries it is not so well accepted. However I would recommend it... especially if you are going to France.
