The first issue of Post Office Travel Money cards worked fine, but these were withdrawn and new ones issued in 2011.
I have three main problems today, trying to use my new card:
1 The 250 euros that I loaded onto my card in January 2012 hasn't been credited to my card, although I have a receipt from the Post Office where I handed over the sterling equivalent of £225.49.
2 I can log on to my account and view transactions, but the above amount is absent and described as 'Declined'.
3 When I try to ring the helpline, I am asked to give my card number, date of birth and access code. When I do this, the system rejects my call.
Since when have Helplines set up gateways that prevent customers from getting through to speak to someone?
There is an email address to which you can send queries. I received a reply to my email enquiry, but no phone call as promised.
I'll go and talk to the Post Office tomorrow. The staff at the Post Office are great, but they shouldn't be promoting these cards while the system is incapable of sorting out problems.

This card is a absolute joke, do not touch.
Went to Australia this March 2012. Not many places will accept this card. What a joke, you have to pay so load the card. i.e. Have to pay to lend them money. They do not know how to spell 'Customer Service' - 20/06/2012
