We were involved in a car accident in France. Vehicle was repatriated to the UK my Direct Line (great service). We also had a gold family policy with Virgin. Asked if we could reclaim our rail fare for making alternative arrangements back to the UK (under section A cancelling/ cutting short your holiday or section F - abandoning your holiday). Met with an abrupt no.
Waste of money and a laissez faire attitude which seem consistent with the reviews on this website.
I guess that's why Mr Branson is a billionaire...
Avoid unless your prepared to sacrifice your first born. Even then - be sure to read the small print
