Accident involving falling down the stairs in Djerba.
I stretched all the tendons in my foot when I tripped down some stairs in Tunisia. It was difficult to get a decision on what I needed to do from Insure and Go and TCS. The hotel was very unhelpful and had no first aid provision. I decided to go to the clinic for an x-ray as I couldn't walk. Obviously I had to take a taxi. I had an x-ray and my diagnosis was torn ligaments. I was prescribed medication which I needed to get from the pharmacy. Therefore I needed a taxi to get the medication and return to the hotel. To continue my holiday I needed to get from Djerba to Sousse - a 7 hour journey but where I had pre-booked accommodation. I had planned to get local transport prior to my accident as there is no available bookable transfer. In the end I had to get a taxi. Insure and Go only reimboursed me for my taxi to the clinic (not the return or to collect medication or my onward travel to Sousse by taxi (as I couldn't walk). It is in the terms and conditions only travel to the hospital in the first instance is covered.
