I would strongly advise against using Europ Assistance. Having been taken ill on board the first flight of a 4 flight trip, I was detained at Paris CDG airport medical centre and was unable to continue my journey. We were obliged to book return flights at our own expense. On returning home I made a claim against my travel insurance. Their initial response was that the circumstances of my claim were not covered by the policy. I queried this and was then told that the period of insurance started when I bought the policy and ended as soon as I commenced the journey! I contacted the complaints dept who asked for full medical records, which I provided.
The claim was refused again.
I contacted the UK Financial Ombudsman but sadly as Europ Assistance is based in Spain they weren't able to help. Zero star rating.
