After 10 years with Columbus, never again. My partner was diagnosed with cancer in April. In May we found it had seriously spread and is now in chemo. We had booked a holiday in March, three days after my partner had first gone to the doctor with undiagnosed symptoms when the GP said it's nothing, don't worry, but we'll send you for a scan to be sure. We only got the diagnosis - a complete shock - 6 weeks later. However, Global Claims, the claims mangers of Columbus, say we should have notified them the day we went to the doctor. Even though we had no idea that there was anything actually wrong. So they say we were not covered, as cover would have been withdrawn. So now, my partner has no income, has cancer, and the holiday we had booked for our 10th anniversary is just wasted. In other words Columbus insurance is worthless the day you go to the doctor with anything! And do not get me started on Global Claims attitude and customer service! Do not use Columbus.
