So I would describe myself as an avid traveler, I love checking references before making a decision. Naturally price is also a number 1 priority, so when I saw an ad for trivago I had to give it a try. It is very similar to other online hotel comparison sites, except that it seems to have access to a much larger database and doesn't have windows that pop up when you search. Actually, there are nearly no ads throughout the website which is something I like very much.
As a problem there is the fact that searches are somewhat inflexible, kind of straining your results into a few preselected locations, but this is not a breaking point.
The reviews on each particular hotel are very extensive and are similar to metacritic in that they give a summed score from other sources as well as direct reviews on the website itself.
Overall a great experiences, minus a few hiccups that I would recommend to others to use.
