Holkham Hall, situated in an idyllic part of north Norfolk is a great adventure for adults and children, especially at Christmas. The play 'Twelve Days of Christmas' was entertaining and a brilliant comedy.
The next day we walked on the vast shoreline and dunes very easily accessible and clean. After coffee in the new restaurant we toured the gift shop and 'Field to Fork' exhibition. Great fun for children with interactive displays and a huge cinema screen with videos of modern farming techniques. We will return in the summer to walk the walled kitchen gardens and tour the hall in daylight. Shame it was not open all year, but I suppose the winter is reserved for maintenance. GREAT VISIT!
