Opodo is fine if the trip is not complicated and there is no problem.
If you have the slightest problem, welcome to hell. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. And I know quite a lot. You have the impression they treat you like a big pack of money to be pressed.
I wonder whether they get money from the phone company based on the time you spend with them.
I have spent many hours on the phone, I think I will pay more in terms of phone bill than for the plane ticket.
I made a stupid mistake. I switched family and first name. The airline said no problem, but just in case, you should change.
First try: after 2 guys, no problem, we change your ticket, you will pay a small fee and get an email in 24 hours
Second try: cannot do anything
Third try: first guy cannot help, second guy say they will do something, and will send an email. When I complain that this is what I was told 3 days ago, he finally says: you need to call again. After insisting a lot, I get a lady who contacts the airline and says ok, you will pay X, and you will get an email soon...
Ok, few hours later still nothing
So I use the online form. Their reply: to summarize call again!!
So I called again, using a different country, since I speak different languages. The guy was very contemptuous They say yes, we will make the change .. eventually, but I cannot tell you when. Your case is not urgent, so why do you call us?? Well, Mr, because I am organising a trip with my family and I need to make sure that this trip is confirmed.
I asked to speak to his boss. I spent 40 minutes waiting on the phone for his supervisor to pick up the phone...
