I booked return flights from Manchester to Faro with Opodo as they offered the cheapest deal. I had just one case booked for the journey each way.

Everything was fine for the outward flight, but when I came to check in for the return flight at Faro, Ryan Air said they had no record of my luggage booking. I had to go to the Ryan Air booking desk and pay 55 Euro for my case. The lady at the counter said this was a common problem with agents like Opodo not passing on the luggage details to the airline.

Ryan Air dealt with it well, letting me straight through back at the check in desk. I contacted Opodo when I got home and they refunded the 55 Euro, but didn't offer an apology. I guess its just normal for them to be incompetent and to inconvenience their customers.

Anyway its probably worth the extra few quid you may have to pay to book direct with the airline rather than going through an incompetent agent.

Yes, you did refund my luggage expenses promptly, which was good.

However your statement that my booking was affected by "some system failure" and that you followed the "correct procedure with regards to my booking" worries me even more. Clearly you have a problem either in your system or in your procedures and I hope that you can find a solution to avoid any more of your customers being inconvenienced.
