I have just investigated some fraudulent charges made to my account by a company and I found that it was Opodo that gave them my bank details!
I will never use Opodo again; I'd used them for the last 10 years, and checked their website for almost every flight (about 10 or more a year) in that time.
For a seemingly reputable company (Opodo) to give my details away is a disgrace. What are they thinking! I did not see any obvious tick box for this company (name removed by writer for compliance), and certainly there was nothing to suggest my account would be debited by £15 a month.
Anyone who has used Opodo in the last 12 months needs to check their accounts carefully.
When I'm back in the UK Opodo will be hearing from the lawyers.

I'm adding my review here because Opodo have asked the first website I put the review on to remove it after saying, amongst other things, I'd lied about using them before the reservation I mentioned in that review. I added to that website. Talk abouit fanning the flames...:

Before this review was reported for compliance issues I tried to send this response to Opodo's response, replying to the false information they gave:

You've already got a complaint through your website from me using the same personal email I have used with you for many years. You were, until today, the first website I went to for checking flights.
You're a disgrace using this company. You should be ashamed of yourself. You will lose more previously loyal customers like me and lose far more income In the long run than the pennies you earn from this.
I have no recollection of seeing any information that said my account will be debited £15 a month when booking the ticket. I do recall being in a hurry to confirm the tickets - for my wife - to get her to see her sick parents and I didn't expect to have to read all the small print from a company I had previously used and previously trusted.
As I am sure you are aware I am not the first to complain about you being tied to this.
I have checked my email records. I was wrong. I haven't been using you for 6 years, I have been using you 10! since 3rd Feb 2004. Some reservations won't be listed with the same email given on the booking referenced as they are business related and therefore use different emails to my personal one. Your statement is nevertheless wrong about no previous reservations with this passenger as the one made in 2004 used the same email and was for the same passenger - my wife - to the same location. There are other personal reservations made with the same email between 2004 and 2014. So check more carefully in future before making former customers even more irate with your false accusations and disrespectful tones.
So no, I will not waste my time filling in your form. I'd rather spread the word and your incorrect disrespectful response has spurred me on to find other sites like (name of other website - I won't mention in case this website doesn't like it).
