Booked through Opodo to fly LHR to Sydney in December. Deal costs not bad but when enquiring about booking seats was told that airline won't allow this [because it was booked through Opodo] and that I should plan to get there early! Some customer service!!! These people make money by 'handling' our bookings but they are prepared to give very little service in return. When I went on to both Quantas and BA websites it was clear that seats could be booked - in fact, for only a little more than I paid Opodo I could have gone World Traveller with BA direct.
My advice to anyone is forget Opodo, Netflights, et al and deal with the airline direct. You have nothing to lose and may get much better service. Those responsible for licencing firms such as Opodo would do well to review the terms of their licence and try to ensure that the paying public get an honest and reliable service.

very sorry to disagree, but we have used Opodo on a number of occasions to fly to the USA and ALWAYS found them to be very efficient and Helpful. As far as using the airlines Direct , The prices are much cheaper with Opodo, how that is i dont know , but they have always been at least £30 per person.
