Love holidays website shows prices VERY low & misleading, you think your getting a bargain !!! Alarm bells start ringing when you can only book via telephone..... We're sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with our service. Due to the unpredictable nature of travel, prices can unexpectedly fluctuate for many reasons (such as changes in availability/add-ons, etc.) - we do, however, understand this can be slightly alarming!

“Terrible customer service”

Don't expect to be able to talk to anybody regarding any issues that you may have unless you are prepared to wait for a minimum of 2 hours on hold. The customer servise is absolute apalling, unless of course you are trying to pay for your holiday in which case they will answer almost on the first ring. Here's an example of how not to do business and potentially ruin our annual, hard saved for holiday. Well done love holidays! To their credit, they resolved the above issue swiftly (the day after this post) and their customer service was excellent. My sister was full of praise for their efforts here. Nonetgeless, there are some clear lessons. Read the ts and cs carefully before booking where companies act through multiple booking agencies. If you have an issue, be couteous but objective, It really helps so overall a terrible review from me for the initial booking change but 5 stars for their quick response and resolution.

Avoid Love Holidays, the standard of customer care is totally unacceptable. I was informed that my accommodation was overbooked by the hotel owner 2 weeks ago, I immediately informed Love Holidays, and it took their agents 4 DAYS to confirm the overbooking, this is less than 2 WEEKS before our departure! LVE-44949 Formal Complaint

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the handling of my booking LVE-44949, the details are noted below.

1. I booked, and paid for in full, a trip to Elounda in Crete, on Monday 3 August, flying from Glasgow on Tuesday 18 August and staying at the Sunrise Studios and Apartments for 7 nights.
2. I selected the Sunrise as we have visited this accommodation in June of this year and it was the perfect location for us as it was right on the sea front.
3. I had been in email contact with the Sunrise regarding a later booking and when I informed them we had booked a week via Love Holidays (LH) arriving on 18 August they immediately informed me that they did not have accommodation for us for the first 2 nights, and that there had been an overbooking.
4. I emailed LH on the Monday 3rd evening and called you at 8am on the Tuesday to alert you to the overbooking. Despite me calling every day sometimes several times, it took until Friday 7 August for Hays, the supplier, to confirm the overbooking, this delay of 4 days is totally unacceptable, especially so close to the departure date.
5. In the meantime I proposed a neighbouring hotel, the Akti Olous as an alternative, and I had confirmed that they had availability for 7 nights from 18 August.
6. The Errata team, on the Friday, offered the Olondio Apartments as an alternative, below, which was unacceptable as it was 10 minutes from the sea front
Olondio Apartments
The center of Elounda is 10 minutes walk, where you will find many shops, cafes and taverns that will satisfy the most demanding visitor. Guests can enjoy the warm sun of the beautiful Cretan sky at the beaches, 10 minutes from our facilities, visit the famous island of Spinalonga with regular daily trips, to walk on the peninsula Kolokitha and explore many small villages away from the sea, offering a trip in past seasons.

7. During this time each time I called LH I was on hold for between 20 minutes and over 1 hour (especially at the weekend) this has cost almost £20 in telephone calls. This was to resolve an issue that was not my fault, I had booked the accommodation in good faith.
8. Most times when I was assured that someone would call me back I did not receive the call back, and I had to then call the customer service helpline to follow up, and had to wait on hold…..all the time increasing my phone bill!
9. On Monday 10 August, a week after I had raised the overbooking issue, the LH team informed me that they could not book the Akti Olous, despite it being on the LH website.
10. I was offered a refund of the cost of our accommodation, which I accepted and I then booked the Akti Olous on line, however the cost had increased since the previous week.
11. I felt strongly that some form of compensation was due given the amount of time (and the telephone costs) I had spent in the previous week trying to resolve an issue that was the fault of your supplier. I suggested that the private transfers which we were going to book should be paid for by LH , I was told that this was not possible.
12. As the cost of the Akti Olous was an additional £91, I proposed that LH should refund that additional cost, I was told that was not possible.
13. I was then offered shuttle bus transfers. I had already explained that I would not consider the shuttle bus transfers given the excessive time involved (I have experienced this on a previous trip) and I told your staff member that we intended to book private transfers.

The level of customer care in this case has been totally unacceptable. I had identified the overbooking, and I proposed a possible solution, this was 2 weeks before our departure. I was also very concerned, and frustrated, by the lack of urgency displayed by your staff in dealing with this issue.

I had made, and paid for our holiday in good faith. I then spent a week making multiple calls to staff who rarely called back, and in the end I had to arrange my own accommodation at an additional cost of £91. I estimate I have spent at least 15 hours on the phone trying to resolve something that was your responsibility.

In the interest of good customer care, as a minimum, I request that you reimburse the additional £91 that we have spent on alternative accommodation.

I look forward to a prompt response.

Have today given Love holidays.com just over £250 to pay of Ryanair for flights that I didnt want.Thought that I had booked 10 nights to Costa Brava with flight from London Southend by Easyjet and when printing the booking confirmation found that it had been changed to 7 nights from London Luton by Ryanair. Complained by phone (after waiting on hold for 23mins) and told it was my fault because I should have noticed that they had changed it. I have been having the same issue trying to contact them. So far been on hold for 46 mins this morning trying to get through! My booking is love-15585. I have sent so many emails I have lost count! No one ever answers or comes back to you. The only person I seem to be able to get hold of is the rude lady in finance who is no help at all and won't put me through to anyone.

Hello love holidays I had an issue with my holiday,flying out to tunisia on the 1/11/15 at 0400hrs from glasgow.i was told that thomas cooks policy on amendments is £150 per person or if we cancel we lose All our money if We don't go.the query I have now is I come from a city called dundee and in today's local paper ( dundee courier 8/8/15 ) there is a gentleman going on the same flight to tunisia as our party and is now been giving a free amendment to his holiday, he is now going to lanzarote with free amendment, so if they can do it for one travelling party they have to do it for everybody so if you could kindly check this out Asap and get back to me so I can sort out my holiday without anymore fuss holiday booking hay 777782

One week on and I still have not received any contact from your customer relations department.
Incidentally I sent the reference number twice to your customer team before you claim to have had technical difficulties in sending it. So they've revived received it three times, and cannot be bothered to respond.
My money has been taken and yet I did not receive the service that I paid for. Numerous emails later I am still being ignored.

This issue has gone on for over a month, and is still not resolved.
The marketing team keep sending wanted emails trying to sell me another holiday, but the customer relations team won't deal with the problems arising from the last holiday. I guess once you have someone's money, they are no longer a priority.

I can see by all the previous reviews some are over a year old that nothing has changed with this company they are still appalling and very bad at their job , when I do get an email it is from a different person, not one of them has a clue, the phone line is non existent as you are left on hold for too long, I have been trying to cancel my booking as I decided they are not a reputable company to travel with. I would never book with this company again!! They never answer their phones - we have been waiting over three hours on hold, at multiple times to be told that no one could help us and to ring back later!! We have tried emailing - I have sent the same email three times to try and get a response from them, but still nothing!! Oh dear, I wish I had read the reviews before I booked! I have been trying to get in touch with Love Holidays since 8am this morning as I am going on holiday on Friday and notice there is a mistake in the documentation. It is a simple enough query. I am staying at the Plaza Hotel in Sorrento. The documentation says that the hotel is in Naples instead of Sorrento. Interesting that this message has changed since this morning when I first read it, as it originally apologised for the confusion and said it was probably a mistake in the documentation? This did ease my worry so why has it changed?
