Booked a holiday on Monday afternoon and was very specific about location and hotel.Received confirmation of hotel and booking details today( Weds).Hotel is sister hotel not hotel that thought we had booked.Rang immediately to notify of mistake. “Not a good experience”

I rang Your Holidays yesterday after finding exactly what I needed on-line. I was excited at having chosen our annual holiday but, after 2 phone calls and speaking to 2 different people, I was left dismayed and bitterly disappointed. “Extra payment for a quiet room”

I have been booking with yourholidays.com for over 5 years for my friends and family. In all fairness they do add on extras but so do all travel agents on line as I imagine they have too. I cannot understand why so many people write negative things about yourholidays and try to book with them. I booked a holiday in November, 13 to Goa and explained that I wanted to be near the shops, beach because I could not walk far and for long and plenty of eating places. This company has always looked after my family and friends. I personally have had 4 holidays in 5 years from them. They deserve the benefit of the doubt - if they we as dodgy as some of the reviews on hear I would have thought there would be 100's of bad ones not 2-3? Booked a holiday with this company - was promised an upgrade to our hotel room if I booked on the day we made the initial inquiry. Once I arrived at the resort I was told that we where booked into the most basic room the resort offers. I feel exactly like you, they promised me the same (an upgrade and the breakfast included) and when I got to the hotel I had NOTHING.
I also had to call them five times in order to get my plane tickets which I got just few hours before my flight!!

So, apart from the bad costumer service they are also CHEATERS, there is no other world to define them. Even in the website it is explicitly advertised the offer I took as a "Bed + Breakfast deal".

In summary; extremely disappointed with them. DO NOT book with this company

As advised to you whilst you were in resort. As a company we constantly strive to make every aspect of the holiday experience enjoyable and it disappoints us to hear of your concerns. We can assure you that we are committed to providing quality service to our customers and to making continuous improvements in meeting customer expectations.

Having investigated your complaint I would like to take this opportunity to clarify our findings.
When you make a holiday booking with us, the booking is made by phone, where all calls are recorded. They are recorded for your and our protection for cases such as this one.

By law, we can only go by the verbal contract you made with our sales advisor at the time of booking, the contract is formed when card details are given. Having listened to this call, we can confirm you have only paid for and agreed to book Room only.

If our sales advisor had confirmed to you she was booking you on a bed and breakfast board basis, we would rectify the situation for you to the best of our ability, however you have been provided with what you have paid for.

We then issue paperwork, again stating what has been booked, in your case; all paperwork we have issued you states Room Only as the board basis.

We can only apologise for the misunderstanding that has occurred.

The costs of the holiday was also agreed by you at the time of booking.

We have provided you with a copy of the call should you wish to refer to it.

Taking everything into account, we cannot agree that you have been mis-advised on this occasion.

In closing, we do hope that despite the points raised you still managed to derive some significant enjoyment and benefit from your holiday.

I called up about a week a go to book a holiday to Tunisia from icelolly. The lady on the phone explained that the flight had gone up in price. She then checked some other airports for me and found an alternative flight from East midlands which was even more cheaper. I found the lady that helped us very helpful and well traveled as she knew the destination quiet well. your holidays are rude, unhelpful and in it for the money for themselves as they are all sharks. I have had the same issue with this company, I literally took 5 minutes to confirm with a family member all the details and as it was not suitable I rang back to cancel or change to another date and was told that I could not cancel and would lose all of my money as it was a late deal.

I went to Thomas Cook who told me they would cancel the holiday for £25 and as this was reasonable I told them to go ahead only to find that yourholidays had still charged me £55 per person travelling on top of the £25!!! They were extremely rude and unhelpful and insisted that they were being polite in refunding most of my money!! What a cheek!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

OMG ! I have booked an Xmas holiday with this company..should I be worried ?
When I booked,the agent was supposed to take £800 deposit from my credit card. He took the full amount ! Over £2.000.

“condescending attitude when attemping to book”

I saw a holiday that looked great for me and my family last night so decided to call and book this morning.When the woman answered i told her i had a reference number from last night and to my surprise she said "you can give me it but the price might have gone up!" when i asked the reason for this she laughed then said in such a condescending manner "flight prices always go up!" When we got back to the UK, we complained - 6 months later, we are still hearing that it is 'under investigation' - basically they don't want to give us the money back so they are hoping that we give up...I would strongly advise against booking with them as I 'stupidly' thought that travel agents were suppposed to take the hassle out of booking a holiday...

I booked on Saturday (03/03/12) to travel to Tunisia on 10/03/12. I found the company via icelolly.com. Having called them the offer of £495 per person had gone but they could do the same holiday for £595 per person. yourholidays.com are a travel agent not a tour operator, when there is a change of hotel it is down to the tour operator not the agent. The agent acts for and on behalf of the operator, if there are any changes- they must pass them on!
