Our first holiday with VJV & it was good good

We booked the Turkish Delights trip to Istanbul. With the stories in the paper of riots, strikes etc. we were wondering where we were going to!! However, everything was fantastic. The arrangements all dovetailed very well, our guide in Istanbul Nizam was very good indeed, he seems to have adopted a British sense of humour. He was very informative.
For anyone who has not been to Istanbul, it is a wonderful city, so much to see and much greener than we expected, lots of open spaces, flowers, trees, fountains etc.
Included in our trip was an Ottoman dinner on our last night. It was really good, but in some ways if it had been earlier in the holiday, we would have had an opportunity to mix socially with our group early on.
It was a good idea to book a trip like this to Istanbul, as we were a group we did not have to queue much at the visitor attractions and our trips were guided and this was all included in the cost.
Wonderful destination, wonderful trip and luckily perfect weather.
