My holiday was a fly/drive to the southern states of USA. The bespoke tours available were too short so I therefore put together an itinerary using information from suggested tours.
The price quoted to me from Tropical Sky was very good and I only required to make one change from the hotel options.
All of the hotels were superb, although parking at Atlanta tended to be pricey, all the other hotels were reasonable plus parking fees were offset by the fuel being so much cheaper than UK prices.
The route of my road trip took me from Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Jackson MS, Vicksburg, New Orleans, Montgomery and back to Atlanta. Most of my stops were for three nights with five nights in New Orleans. With the amount of attractions to see and do I feel the length of the holiday was perfect. While we did not stay in each city for long we did not feel we were living out of our suitcases, which is what I wished to avoid. Which place did we like the best? Nashville closely followed by New Orleans, however its each to his own preference. It was a wonderful holiday helped by the equally wonderful people we met in the southern states.
