Nice holiday-Koh Samui Thailand Feb-Mar 2012

Very helpful at Tropical Sky, Brendan,organised a flight change to our liking, we opted for Peace Resort, Bophut, only 3 star but very nice bungalows in a nice beach location. Standard accommodation (web site stated Superior!) but lovely and clean,beds great plenty of H/C water quiet location in the resort, although the bungalows are in need of a little updating, towels well worn!! but don't be put off going to this resort.Beach small but clean and quiet with the pool and restaurant close by, 2 mins from baungalow..Very helpful and really friendly staff with very good service in the restaurant..breakfast,part of our package,plenty and varied. We had a lunch and dinner quantity and quality very good....the actaual owner of reasort was on site every day we put some minor issues to her, she welcomed the comments, and they were actioned straight way...Fishermans village close by,10 mins walk,good place to shop and plenty of places to eat/drink cheaply or pay UK pub prices we never had a bad meal! Other eating places just outside the resort so plenty of choice.We had trips to Chewang/Lamai/Nathon(main town) which was interesting the two other beach areas not to our taste..we used local tuk tuk taxis (pick-up trucks with seats!) safe and cheap..We flew Emirates from Gatwick via Dubai/Bangkok excellent service there and back, all on time give or take minutes few, luggage arrived safe and sound..Koh Samui airport small but adequate even free tea/coffee while you waited for your flight...yes Thailand although not as cheap as it used to be is a great place to visit and the people where ever you went, in our experience, were friendly,helpful and courteous and last of all the weather hot and sunny apart fom one day...go go go!! (aged 65ish)
