My parter & I booked our honeymoon with the advisor at Travel Bag.
As a VERY nervous flyer I asked not once but three 3 before paying our deposit if we would be able to reserve window seats on the plane once the £400 deposit had been paid, as being able to 'see out' calms my nerves and helps with the claustrophobia. We were told 'YES'. But after making the booking we were unable to reserve the seats!I contacted the person who then told me 'Oh yes, that's right, because your flying with Emirates you'll need to pay another £1200 off your holiday before you can reserve the seats! We had planned on paying the full balance in December, and already the window seats are being reserved, so it will be very unlikely there will be any available in December. I have there for spent the last two months dreading the extremely long flights & worrying my self sick over the whole situation.
I contacted travel bag to complain & to inform them that we are considering cancelling the booking & I was told I was being 'A bit extreme' and I was told that 'My staff book Emirate flights daily, there is no way they would give you such misleading information' ..you think??
I have only once sat at a seat without a window and I suffered panic attacks and sickness from feeling closed in & not being able to see out.
Many people suffer from claustrophobia & its a horrible feeling. The only thing extreme in this situation is the length that one would go to for a bit of commission!
