Booked Holiday online with TravelbagAsia and they sent me an Email prior to booking with the following information on it... Manchester to Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpar. Kuala Lumpar to Penang.. So, with all reasonable expectations we were led to believe that we were going straight through to Penang and we had just to board our connecting flights. This was the norm up until we were told on the Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpar flight by a Malaysian Family that we could not get a connecting flight to Penang we had to get a Taxi 30 mins away to another Airport LCC to get an Air Asia Flight to Penang this was totally impossible to do bearing in mind that we had only a to hour Gap between connecting flights! we had to collect our bags, go through Immigration, and Customs catch a Taxi all within a two hour timespan, impossible. The Abu Dhabi Flight was 45mins late taking off and we were two 60yr olds in bad health not forgetting the 30minute journey by Taxi to the Airport that we knew nothing about.. On arrival at the Airport (LCC)our connecting flight was well gone and we were asked to pay 390 Ringits and we had to wait 5hrs in the Airport. On arrival in Penang we were left stranded and we had to get a Taxi 20km away to the hotel Golden Sands Resort in Batu Ferrigni. We eventually arrived at the Hotel just after 2300hrs on Sunday Night bearing in mind we left Liverpool for Manchester at 6am on a Saturday. We fell into bed totally exhausted and missed two days of our vacation due to exhaustion and flight delays. Now the Hotel was beautiful, and we made the best =of the rest of our Holiday. We contacted Travelbag and all we got was their answering machine saying they were out of office. We eventually got an email with an apology and they gave us £100 refund which barely paid for the Taxis, Flight, and refreshments.. We were then contacted and asked to cut our holiday short by getting an earlier flight back well, we refused, why should we!. When we were due to go back we left the Hotel earlier and went to Penang Airport to find that our flight was delayed by over an hour which meant that we would then miss the flight to Abu Dhabi from Kuala Lumpar!, which we did!!. We then proceeded to Etihads Head Office and they contacted Travelbag Asia in England (which was very kind of them) While the man in Etihad contacted them he handed the phone to me and we were held on the phone for ages with the girl telling us to wait while she told her Manager what I had said this was going on for almost 20mins., The man for Etihad got very annoyed and took the phone off me and told the girl to stop relaying second hand information on to her Manager and to put him on the phone immediately and he reminded them that they were paying for the International Call. Eventually I got to talf to him and I had to pay by my Debit Card £270 in order to get back home. We then had to wait in Kuala Lumpar Airport for over 6hrs we were totally shattered and ill. On boarding the plane the Stewardesess noticed that I was ill and asked if I was all right to travel and I explained our situation to them. When the Plane took off the Stewardess came up to us and offered us a row of vacant seats so we could lie down and rest during the flight which was very kind of them. Eventually we arrived home I contacted Travelbag and they have offered us £150 compensation as a good will gesture saying that they are not liable for anything.. I have refused their offer and I have given them ample time to sort this out, but they have failed dismally.. I am now having to take this Company to The Small Claims Court..
