Booked flights through Skyscanner in Sept 2012 for flights in May 2013 Gatwick to Larnaca. Initially problems with online tickets, they put wrong name but sorted. Heard through grapevine in April 2013 that airline had pulled out of flying from Gatwick, had to contact Travel up to check they had no knowledge so one assumes we never would have been told, however, asked for alternative flights, were 20 hours in total, not acceptable so we asked for a refund. Refund was eventually agreed 20th April . We have today 11th July just received the refund after constant emails and contact with them. We know the airline refunded almost immediately, however, Travel ups Terms and Conditiions say refunds take from 6-8 weeks!! They also say they aim to answer emails within 48 hours, and 97%of emails are, we'll all I can say is we were constantly in the 3% that were not!!
We had to book alternative flights and waiting for 14 weeks to get our money back is unacceptable, their customer service is difficult to say the least for example when asking for the refund they said they would need to contact airline, then emailed and said we can't get through on the phone can you do it??
Will never use this company again. I think the reason they seem to have good reviews is if you book and your flights go according to plan, you would have no need to use their customer service .....
