We booked our week away and the flights, transfer and insurance were faultless. Unfortunately the hotel booking failed.
We arrived at the hotel we booked at about midnight to be told on arrival that the room and booking was not available and that we would be staying at a another hotel. We were not informed prior to travel that this would be the case. The reason we booked this hotel was from friends positive reviews. If we wanted to stay somewhere else we would have booked elsewhere. We were told they would phone a taxi and that they would pay for this and the return as compensation. Did they really expect us to find our own way? We were told that they would let the hotel know of our return transfer times but we had to chase this up as we did not hear anything which was another hassle.
We have not as yet received any apology from anyone which is something I would have expected as a minimum.
