On arrival at our Hotel we were told by the Receptionist that one of the two rooms we booked had been cancelled due to EuroRooms going into administration. We assumed this had happened within the last few days as we were not informed of this prior to travelling by Travel Republic who we booked through. However, having checked, we discovered that EuroRooms went into administration 2 months ago - yet Travel Republic had not resolved the issue with the Hotel before our arrival and we had a very stressful start to our holiday and had to cut short our first afternoon’s itinerary as we were delayed at the Hotel and unable to get into the room and deposit our luggage whilst the issue was being resolved. Travel Republic should have been aware of the situation with EuroRooms and ensured all bookings through them were being honoured to avoid customers experiencing the stress and delay which we were subjected to.
