I booked a room for a hotel in the Dominican Republic for just over £960 for 2 weeks. We grabbed it while we could because it was such a good price. Via their online facility I paid the £1.00 deposit and was presented with a page stating that the remaining balance of £961 was to be paid by 9th August 2014.
I then received my travel voucher which stated our balance was £1347 and when I rang to query this I was told that I had clearly selected a different room by mistake - erm no I didn't, and surely if I had, then the remaining balance on the booking page would have reflected the larger amount and not the smaller one !!
But apparently it couldn't possibly have happened!
