my opinion

very thorough prior to my trip, kept me informed and regular telephone calls every few days, mainly because of health and myself taking medical equipment onto the flight. i didn't realise how weak my body was until i was on the flight, the cabin crew were very helpful. i was given an exterior seat at the front, the closest possible to the bathroom and assistance was offered by the cabin crew, even though it's not in their job description, as they're cabin crew and not care assistants. i managed as there was bits i could keep hold of to steady myself.
the only problem i had was damage to my suitcase between manchester and at naples it came off damaged. i couldn't bring it back with me, i had to buy luggage before coming home as it contained medication and equipment i couldn't risk items falling out of the damaged one. on arriving at manchester the rubber joystick on my chair was missing, this is needed for grip whilst driving. i have notified my insurance as i will be claiming for my damaged items, they informed me to also inform the airline within 7 days, i did this at both airports but no paperwork was given to me, can you advise if it's the airline that pays for replacement or my insurance. it's 5 days since my arrival in uk so i now have reported damage to both parties concerned.
