On check-in at the Hyatt the staff said our reservation had been cancelled. Eventually I spoke to the manager and was booked in (a new reservation with my credit card). He took a copy of the TravelRepublic booking documents.
When I checked out the next day the hotel again said the reservation had been cancelled by you, but accepted that I had paid you (I could show them my Amex statement on-line), and did not charge me, except for my extras.
I don't know what went wrong, but it was quite frustrating although the hotel recovered the situation
well.
