This was an online booking on which a mistake was made on the room specification - single rather than double occupancy highlighted although no difference in price as a room rate quoted. Although the email confirmation allows a two day period in which to make amendments this quite clearly not the case.
Despite several phone calls, one immediately after the confirmation was received, which failed to answer or address the query we resorted to attempting to resolve on line which again completely failed. Resolution of sorts was only achieved by cancellation at substantial cost (despite being well within the two day grace period).
Just for the record we were able to book direct with the hotel in a double room as requested. The hotel, staff and service were all excellent.
This was appalling service from Travel Republic with no consideration towards the end user. I would not consider using this company for any form of future booking.
There has also been no response to the initial complaint made via their own site.
This has a one star rating - site would not accept a no star rating!
