“No option given for flight meal”

When booking the flight meal, no option was given for a vegetarian meal. We therefore assumed we had a choice of what meals we could have, as we had on our last flights with virgin airways. We were very embarrassed on our Monarch Airlines flight when we were told there are no choices on board and it was assumed we were all non vegetarian. We could only eat parts of the meal that were vegetarian, and throw the rest away.
