Steer clear!

I contacted Trailfinders by email and phone from France to book a £24000 tour of Asia. I was very specific about my requirements and things progressed well. After a few days of tooing and froing, The girl handling the booking suddenly said she was going on holiday the next day and had everything reserved waiting for the final bit to be confirmed. I had to press her to give me the name of a contact.

The next day I heard nothing. In the afternoon I finally called the man to find out what was happening and he had not even checked to see if the hotel confirmation had come in. In fact he told me that they had a policy of not confirming anything until deposit was paid .. Something that had not been mentioned and which would nphave been impossible as the age poncy wre unabltpeto book one portion of he trip which another agency were doing which meant that everything had to be oordinated - the girl was very aware of this and I had informed in writing.

The man was offhand and unhelpful and finally stunned me by announcing that he cruise portion of my trip hadnt been held and was now not available. He didn't even seem bothered when I said that meant my whole trip was impossible, he just suggested I could stay in a hotel instead. Needless to say I moved to another agent and within a couple of days had the whole trip booked and for three grand less with no demands for money upfront.
