Christmas / New year tour 2015/16 Southern Sights & Sounds. Overall the tour was well organised & enjoyable. Included was a New Years Eve meal & Jazz band on a Mississippi River Paddle Steamer - The Natchez. The Titan Group was put in a downstairs area with no entertainment and a limited menu. After complaining, once we'd finished the meal we were eventually 'invited' upstairs to join everyone else where there were insufficient tables & chairs for the group and the band was on a rest break (so much for the entertainment). We had booked the holiday to celebrate my wifes 65th birthday on New Years day.
On our return we complained to Titan but throughout this process we did not receive ANY answers to the questions I had raised. All Titan customer services were interested in was telling us how many awards they had won and how they complied with all ABTA codes of conduct, etc.. I finally got out of them that the poor service we had received on the boat was actually because that is what they had negotiated for Titan Tours - i.e. in most peoples opinion a second rate excursion.
To conclude, the tour overall was good. If, however, you have any post tour problems in our experience customer services don't want to know. We will vote with our feet and NEVER travel with Titan again. There are plenty of companies out there with far better customer service, even if they don't have as many awards!!
