We had to cancel a holiday with Thomson,we had paid a deposit of over £400 on the day we booked only to find out later when we received the paperwork that we had to pay a further £200 towards the deposit and that the £114 we paid for their travel insurance was also non refundable.We cancelled more than 3 months before the holiday was due to start and lost over £730! The staff were of no help whatsoever. Don't book your holiday too far in advance because the deposit will be a few hundred pounds which is non refundable whatever the reason for cancellation and definatly do not get their travel insurance which is vastly overpriced and is also non refundable.
