“MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY”

★★☆☆☆

written by Johnashdown1 on 01/02/2015

I booked a new cruise whilst on the last one on Royal Caribbean and Thomas Cooks takes over the booking in the local office . RC give a date of paying which in my case was April 7th the remaining amount which was over £3,000 , which is perfectly normal to do two months before the cruise . Then out of the I get a threatening letter telling me , a reminder they called it of paying all the remainder on 4 th Feb and failure to do so would result in a £25 late payment . I immediately phoned the shop as I thought they had mixed me up with another person with same name who were on an earlier cruise than me . I was told no it to make sure that RC get the money in time , this was followed up by a further two identical threatening emails . Speaking to the manager of the shop I said my contract was with RC and agreement was to pay on of slightly before 7th April and not have them move the goalposts in this manner as how could they expect a client to find the full amount in two weeks when they budgeted for a further two months to save . If they are asking all their clients to pay up this early they could in fact hold this money to make short term interest , this is just a thought of mine without any proof , but there has to be a reason to adopt this new directive from head office and it's not local shop . naturally I contacted head office but so far they have not even had the common curtesy to even reply to me . beware this does not happen to you as I quite rightly told them my contract was with RC and they were merely agents of RC and it was not up to them to alter the contract .
