The Holiday Place failed to send me my confirmation of hotel vouchers and flight bookings the 10-15 days in advance as promised so I could print and check this out in advance. This was not done till 8 days before travelling, totally unacceptable. Again several phone calls were made to secure this paperwork. There appears to be some great deals but the customer service that I have received thus far has deterred me from dealing with The holiday Place any further. “Do not USE THE HOLIDAY PLACE.”

The Holiday Place charged me twice for booking holiday. £2800 per holiday x 2 = £5600. Waiting for the refund. I will be honest in my feedback towards The Holiday Place. I have had very unpleasant experience of booking holiday with The Holiday Place this time. When I booked this holiday, the payment was taken straight away but no confirmation was received. “Hotel not fully functional ie Outrigger Mauritius”

We have paid £4000 for a holiday to Mauritius and Dubai. Two weeks before due to fly out, were left an answer phone message from Holiday Place to say could we ring them as they had some information about the hotel. Paid £2,300 honeymoon trip to mexico and on arrival.....nothing was booked and we had a horrible start which continued for 3-4days till the hotel sorted it out. When I complained on returning they accepted the mistake they had done and offered £100 of each for our next booking with them with numerous clauses and small print conditions. Booked a holiday to Cancun Mexico (2 Couples).One name was wrong on the tickets (admittedly our mistake) Rang the Holiday Pace to change the name. No problem they assured us and duly rang us back 2 hrs later to assure us the name could be changed at a cost of £380 !!!!!! I kid you not. My husband and I spent weeks looking for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to South Africa. We came across some fantastic deals, but none was matched by the deal we were offered from Holiday Place. Quick update: we went on our holiday (which wound up costing us 4.5k -£1,200 more than we had initially been told it would by the Holiday place), spent 24 hours travelling and reached Cape Town to find that a reservation had not been made for us at our first hotel. Thankfully, the hotel had some room and the lady at reception made our booking for us there and then - but had it been peak season I don't know what we would have done. The Holiday Place - utter rubbish.

“Dodgy sales tactics”

My husband got an email from Travelzoo yesterday advertising a 7 night Jordan Discovery Tour for £599 through The Holiday Place. He immediately rang The Holiday Place and they confirmed that these tours, using easyjet charter flights had only just been released. They emailed my husband at 15:00 to quote £599 per person for a 24 November departure. We booked our second trip to Dubai in as many years with the Holiday place after a straight forward experience in 2012. This years booking was a nightmare,we booked on specific dates and paid a deposit, they then advised we couldn't go on those dates due to no flights being available so we had to move dates.
