Booked a holiday to Cancun Mexico (2 Couples).One name was wrong on the tickets (admittedly our mistake) Rang the Holiday Pace to change the name. No problem they assured us and duly rang us back 2 hrs later to assure us the name could be changed at a cost of £380 !!!!!! I kid you not. I was in tears and they replied it could have been worse and we could have been charged for a full ticket!!
I paid the said amount and then whilst checking in with Virgin they told us it would have cost £30 to change at the desk!!
The reply we have had from The Holiday Place states that we shouldn't have been told this as our contract was with them and not Virgin - they have a contract with Virgin that the check-in staff are not aware of!!
That is their explanation - nothing mentioned of costs or invoices but they hope we will still do business with them in the future.
