Treasures of Europe (6/29/15-7/7/15)

An extended family of nine, including myself, chose Star Tours’ “Treasures of Europe” for our vacation. By saying that we enjoyed the journey is simply put as an understatement. The amount of fun and the experience we had on this trip was incredible. This tour took us to destinations in a timely matter thanks to our wonderful driver Mark, who showed us time and again how experienced he was at maneuvering such a large bus through tiny streets. Although the time spent at some destinations included in this tour could have been much longer, it was overall a great trip to see the major landmarks and features of each city. The food served at restaurants and stops was good but since we were in different places around the world, I recommend more continental meals to be incorporated in the tour. Part of what made us enjoy this trip so much was the fact that everyone in the tour bus was outgoing and sociable. We developed bonds and everlasting friendships with people on the tour. However, the biggest factor in our enjoyment in this trip was our tour guide, Rajesh Khanderia, or “RK” as he likes to be called.
The word “superlative” is defined in the dictionary as “of the highest quality or degree.” For us, this word is defined by RK. His compassion and enthusiasm for the people of the tour was exceptional. Part of the reason why RK was such a great tour guide is because the way he treated the people on the tour. RK stated in the first hour of the trip that we were to be a family throughout the tour; the RK Family. He not only called us this, but also treated us in this way. He showed professionalism when it mattered but also felt like he was the tenth person in our family throughout the trip. With years of experience he is one of the best guides to ever lead a group throughout Europe. His knowledge of the destinations surpasses what you may find in a travel book. Having RK sitting in the front of the bus gave us confidence that we were going to the best places we could have and seeing the most of everything. RK gave us the quintessential tour of Europe. I can confidently say that every single person on the bus that will choose Star Tours in the future will request the man with a huge heart named RK.
