I called and spoke with customer service a couple of time and they were inconsistent with their information, gave me wrong information, and tried to say they were giving me a deal with a coupon code when the same deal was posted online, then the agent implied that it was my fault I wasn't getting the coupon code. Be ware that just because you search for a specific date, does not mean that the scheduled flights are what you specifically asked for. Also, their customer service is helpful to charge you more money if you accidentally choose one of those flights, they will charge you more than it costs to cancel the order. $125.00 more, and yes you can say I should've bought the insurance. “Free cancellation advertisement is a LIE!”

Only a few minutes after booking my flight I realized that I had made a mistake so I tried to have them make the correction but I was told that it was going to cost me an additional $200 so I told them that I wanted to cancel the booking and make a new reservation myself with the correct info and I was told I had to pay $150 to cancel. What a lousy experience. I will never use you again. Couldn't get itinerary until I booked. Had me booked into JFK at 6:40 am and departing from Neward 5 hours later with no explanation of how I get to Newark after a 16 hour flight from Johannesburg. i really disappointed with the price difference. if you try to book the ticket using the customer service, they will give you higher price than online. On April 18, 2015 I booked a flight departing Shreveport La. on April 23 to Birmingham Al. I was to be there for my 87 year old mother to have a valve replacement. The heart surgery was cancelled because of what turned out to be cancer of her pancrease. During booking, I inadvertently missed a letter on my last name. Within minutes I contacted smart fares to fix the mistake as the ticket had not been issued. The agent informed me that they could add the letter for a $25 fee. I ended up cancelling the ticket as it was free. As a result they have lost a costumer and earned a bad review. These men would not honor the online coupon and the last man (named Eddie) I spoke with informed me that the prices on line were no valid and I had to pay $348.00 for a round trip airline ticket. I booked my tickets online for myself & 2 other friends. The moment I booked I saw a typo & called within 1 minute of booking this flight. The sales person I spoke with told me they would charge me $150.00 to add ONE letter. I asked more then once to speak with a manager & was denied many times.
