We have stayed with Ski Power on a number of occaisions from 2005 through to the present.
For Christmas just past(2011)we booked chalet renoir in La Tania. We last stayed at this chalet with ski power in 2008 and had a good stay.
Unfortunately our experience for xmas 2011 was not at all good.
To go through the whole holiday debacle in words would take to long. The principal issue was poor resort mangement and commuincation relating to the chalet's log fire. for xmas we wanted a log fire and booked renoir as we knew that the living area was complemented by a really good fireplace. For 7 of our 9 night stay we had no fire due to a selection of reasons such as, needed a chimney sweep, no insurance paper work and the fire had previously smoked the chalet out.
Given that on arrival we pleaded with the resort manager to sort the problem, as the days passed and nothing happened our disappointment grew. Eventually after 6 days the resort manager arrived to light the fire but she encountered problems with the fire's door and left leaving us totally confused as to the ongoing situation. Eventually on Xmas eve after 7 days in the chalet we were allowed to light a fire only to discover that no logs had be purchased.On checking with other chalets it became clear that they were also not stocked with firewood.
Breakfast has been downgraded.
The standard of evening meal has slipped well below what was available in the past.
The conditional discount policy which applies ski pass and equipment hire is ridiculous when applied to a one year old, who's not permitted to hold a ski pass or to ski in resort.

This is not a refection of the true story !
The clients concerned had not actually paid in full for their holiday and so of course services were limited and or withdrawn. This client has stayed with other operators nearby who vow not to have them back - ''Serial complainers'' is the reputation these clients have!
This client is clearly simply trying to damage the reputation of Ski Power for reasons that are beyond us, as they seemingly don't pay for their holidays. I think people will read this as one review has already been removed from this person for exactly that reason.
