“Not who I thought I was booking with”

I was on the Hoiday Inn website and booked a room, but when it was paid for, the reservation was thru ReservationCounter and it was for the wrong hotel. I did not try to change the hotel, because it was nearby the other, and had slightly better reviews. I encountered no problems at the hotel - it actually was a very nice stay - and hope that the c/c charge will be okay when it shows up on my card. “Not connected to the major hotel websites!”

I made reservations for colleagues and this looked like it was the home link to the major hotel chains (Hampton Inn, etc). It is NOT!!!! The hotel did NOT have their reservation! “Dishonest Representation”

I booked a hotel room at the Acclaim Hotel at the Calgary Airport. Thought I was booking directly with the hotel online but it was actually a company called Reservation Counter. There were 2 room options, with parking or without parking. I chose with parking. “BEWARE! NEVER AGAIN”

Went to book a room with a Hilton Inn. This company claimed they were Hilton's reservation department. When a Hilton wasn't available he offered a Ramada and claimed he did all the bookings for the Dayton, Ohio area. As I'm giving him my information I read online what a terrible hotel the Ramada was and told him NOT to book it; however by that time he had my credit card information and did it anyway. Did you actually receive your money back? I had a very similar situation. I was never told that I was being charged now for a booking in six months nor was I told that the reservation was non-refundable. I called and they said they would cancel and return my money in 5-7 days.

Both the original agent and the second agent were very nice but why should I believe that second agent when the first agent was not forthcoming!

Be careful. They are not what they advertise themselves to be, and they will not follow through through on their "low price guarantee." And when you try to register a complaint, they will give you a runaround and eventually hang up on you. As many others have said in their reviews, I thought I was booking through the hotel when I paid online. I paid in full for 3 rooms in February, for reservations in June. When it got to June, the hotel only had a record of 2 rooms that I paid for. I ended up having to pay for the third room out of my pocket (which means I paid twice-double!- for that room.) I would not recommend this website. First off, the website I was directed to was set up to look like I was booking through the actual hotel, not a 3rd party. This was very misleading and sneaky. “Painful experience all the way”

I told them I wanted to stay at Residence Inn. After being on the phone for 15 minutes to make a simple reservation, at end of call he conveys he has me booked for the Holiday Inn next door. What?? Then I called two days before check-in to cancel the 2nd night. They had to cancel whole reservation and rebook. I booked a room to go to a Brewers game in Milwaukee, was assureds that this hotel was close to and as the foreigner said 'walking distance' from the park.. later found that it wasn't even close!! so half hour called to cancel the reservation.. gave the reason and was told that I would get a full refund within 7-10 days.. a month later no refund.. called and was told that there was no notes of me talking to them and no refund comming..they have a no refund policy... “This business is a JOKE! ”

This company did NOT ful-fill the reservation as I requested. I spoke with a live agent on the phone and they reassured me multiple times that the two rooms I booked were available with TWO double beds in each room. This was for a business trip. When we arrived at the hotel they gave us one room with two double beds and the other with one double bed and a couch. These people never heard of customer service. I was put on hold so the rep. could ask his supervisor how to book my room. Had no knowledge of the hotel I was booking, which was necessary due to the cost of different areas to book. I can't think of one thing good to say about this company.
