“Unreliable”

As many others have said in their reviews, I thought I was booking through the hotel when I paid online. I paid in full for 3 rooms in February, for reservations in June. When it got to June, the hotel only had a record of 2 rooms that I paid for. I ended up having to pay for the third room out of my pocket (which means I paid twice-double!- for that room.) “Terrible Customer Service”

I would not recommend this website. First off, the website I was directed to was set up to look like I was booking through the actual hotel, not a 3rd party. This was very misleading and sneaky. I had to cancel a reservation within the time designated for a hotel in Anaheim, CA. Called to make reservations at Gaylord Opryland. They said they worked for the hotel. took my money over the phone. Went to check in and was told I didn't have a reservation!! For two days there was no reservation there....still no reservation several days later. “Painful experience all the way”

I told them I wanted to stay at Residence Inn. After being on the phone for 15 minutes to make a simple reservation, at end of call he conveys he has me booked for the Holiday Inn next door. What?? Then I called two days before check-in to cancel the 2nd night. They had to cancel whole reservation and rebook. I booked a room to go to a Brewers game in Milwaukee, was assureds that this hotel was close to and as the foreigner said 'walking distance' from the park.. later found that it wasn't even close!! so half hour called to cancel the reservation.. gave the reason and was told that I would get a full refund within 7-10 days.. a month later no refund.. called and was told that there was no notes of me talking to them and no refund comming..they have a no refund policy... “This business is a JOKE! ”

This company did NOT ful-fill the reservation as I requested. I spoke with a live agent on the phone and they reassured me multiple times that the two rooms I booked were available with TWO double beds in each room. This was for a business trip. When we arrived at the hotel they gave us one room with two double beds and the other with one double bed and a couch. These people never heard of customer service. I was put on hold so the rep. could ask his supervisor how to book my room. Had no knowledge of the hotel I was booking, which was necessary due to the cost of different areas to book. I can't think of one thing good to say about this company. "Not allowed to speak with a supervisor", only there for training others.?! To add another night to an already booked room, he had to cancel the entire reservation and rebook, just to add a room. “Warning- Deceptive Practice-DO NOT USE!!!!”

I too fell for RESERVATION COUNTER'S deceptive advertising and thought I was on the official Meridien Barcelona website, until i asked about using my Starwood account. “Deceptive Business! Avoid! ”

This company is not legitimate. They pretend to be the business you thought you called direct, and they add a fee to your purchase they do not disclose. I honestly do not know how I ended up doing business with Reservation Counter because I called the hotel chain direct. They charged my credit card months in advance of my trip, which is not what the hotel would do, and they charged a service charge on a fee only available directly from the hotel; a fee they did not disclose. I agree with all the reviews. There was a picture and information about the hotel. The credit card bill arrived and I am charged months before the planned visit. They website is misleading and unethical. In case of illness or death there is no refund.

When utilizing this "service", they you are in no way connected to the hotel that you would like to make reservations at -- THIS IS A THIRD PARTY "SERVICE" THAT CHARGES A LOT FOR THEIR "SERVICE" - +15% Service charges!!! I called what I thought was Courtyard by Marriott. By the look of the website it appeared to be the Marriott site, including a picture of the Hotel. I have stayed and enjoyed this location several times. Make no mistake it is my fault for not paying attention to the site, Reservation Counter in small print at the top of the page. I went to the hotel website to book a hotel for my sisters wedding. I thought I was using the hotel to book my rooms until I got the confirmation email and noticed that the whole charge for the hotel had already been placed on my credit card when I was only supposed to have a holding fee. When querying the hotel on Google this phone number pops up across top of page. Appears to be the reservation company for the particular hotel chain.
