“Awful, just awful, booking company”

Do not use this service. Period. I thought I was booking through Hampton, but I wasn't. I accidentally clicked on the Reservation Counter Ad and it looked A LOT like the Hampton website. Believe me, You will pay a LOT more, and they lie about their cancellation policy. You will be handed off to another hotel booking company without your knowledge, i.e. Getaroom was the company I was passed off to. This is a hoax and ripoff. “NO CANCELLATION POLICY / Deceptive practices”

My mother made a reservation at 12:25 p.m. and they told her she had until 12 pm to cancel....that would make it the next day, but when she got her confirmation it stated 12 noon on the day she made the reservation and when she called back 90 minutes after making the original reservation - they would not cancel it.- So basically she would have to cancel it BEFORE she even made it! “Deceptive Company”

Reservation Counter is a deceptive company. There are many hidden fees and costs that they work in, before you even know it. I didn't even know I was using a third-party reservation company until it was too late. They charged $50 more than what my husband and I paid only three nights, before, booking directly with the hotel. I thought I was calling Quality Inn Central Reservations and when I asked they did NOT tell me otherwise. Booked a room at a Quality Inn near Pittsburgh, PA with one King Bed or two Doubles and upon arrival find out I have a single double which was not large enough. Ended up having to pay a lot more to get a King Bed. The hotel said they received the room from Priceline! SO this company appears to be selling via Priceline and giving you a bogus reservation. “Soccer tournament”

I booked the Days Inn in Palm Coast for a soccer tournament through Expedia. The tournament was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. I called and emailed the hotel on Wednesday before the hurricane was to hit on Saturday. I got no response. They did not refund my money and didn't even bother to contact me by email or return my phone call when I left a message with a number to reach me. “Misleading”

I thought that I was talking to the hotel directly. The way the questions were answered you would think that you were talking to the hotel. In addition, I had asked about several discounts which they said the hotel did not have. Once I got to the hotel I found out that I had not booked through the hotel and had been charged more per night than the hotel charges by nearly 20%. Travelers BEWARE!! We to a hotel website that looked like the official website and got the phone number for reservations. Called the number and made the reservation. Nothing was said about them being booking agent or that is a prepaid reservation. They lead you to believe you are talking to the hotel itself. “Bed Bugs”

I am an Honors member and have been since 2012. I had 8 rooms and 2 of them had bed bugs. After the first night the children had small bumps on them, the second night everyone was itching, we looked and their backs and arms was all broke out. I complained to the hotel, they moved them to the Hilton for 1 night. The hotel then brought them back to a different room the next morning.
