“Misleading Rip off”

This service displays incorrect hotel brands and conditions. Hotel I reserved looked good and was represented as a name brand hotel when in fact it was a flea bag, off brand hotel in disrepair. Upon arriving at hotel I called and cancelled reservation and even though it was after cancellation period I was assured via phone and email my credit card would be credited the full amount. Booked our hotel online through Reservations Counter and had no problems at all. Called them once before we left and got good customer service on the phone. The hotel had our reservations, all paid in advance and no problems whatsoever. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they are deceptive in making people think they are on the hotel's website when in fact they are not, but I don't regret using the service because it all went very smoothly… Read Full Review

“Poor & misleading service”

I googled a "Knights Inn" and this came up. I thought that I was reserving through the central reservation centre for the Knight's Inn Hotels. They quoted me $74 a night, which I assumed would be charged when I got there. However, they not only immediately charged my card, but charged $98 instead of the $74 promised! “Government Employees DO NOT USE”

As a government employee, I am required to submit an expense report for lodging that breaks out the daily rate, hotel tax and local tax. After 17-days stay and $2,400 I asked for this documentation. the peoploe I dealt with patently refused to do so and were arrogant, condescending and supremely dismissive. “Terrible experience which cost me $$$$”

The gentleman who helped me "try" to make a hotel reservation was incompetent and made the reservation for the wrong month. By the time (over an hour of my valuable time) he rectified his mistake the cost of the hotel room went up dramatically. Even the supervisor would not do anything to resolve the situation. My wife booked a hotel with this company at a Hilton Hotel for Valentine's Day. We received a confirming email, and they billed me $180 for the room. We drove two hours to get there, only to find that no reservations had been made. The hotel had no record of us at all. Nor did they have a room; they were all booked up. I tried to make reservation at a Hilton. They were booked so they recommended a different hotel and booked it. The agent got my e-mail wrong so I never received my confirmation. “Forced to Pay for a Room Then Forbidden to Use It”

The online system at reservationcounter let me "cancel" my hotel because I was too sick to travel. After I cancelled, it said my credit card had already been charged because it was too late to cancel. “Beware cancellable rates.”

I was receiving my first chemotherapy infusion so we wanted to book a room near the hospital in case we needed to stay. We booked 2 nights at Extended Stay - Stadium Blvd. in Columbia, MO. It was important that we be able to cancel if we didn't need it so we paid extra for a room that allowed us to do that. When my husband tried to cancel one hour before the deadline. Made a reservation for Holiday Inn Express. Couldn't earn points toward my rewards nor use my AAA rate. Agent told me this rate is as good as any....WRONG!!! WATCH OUT - read the small print. I ACCIDENTALLY booked a room using Reservation Counter because they make their URL address look just like HILTON. I realized this immediately after booking so I cancelled the reservation within minutes of booking it. They charged me one night's room ($156) for canceling the SAME DAY! “Zero Stars - Charged for Hotel Room that Didn't Exist”

I just had a similar experience. Prepaid, 2 months ago, arrived with my family at 9pm to find no reservation was made. Fortunately they had vacancies and did give us a room. I am still trying to find out what happened but needless to say I learnt my lesson. Never again.this was over the Christmas period.
